Identifying Nests

 Paper Wasp Nests
Paper Wasps build umbrella shaped nests under spouting, ledges, eaves, outside air conditioning units.

They construct nests out of paper-like materials made of tiny chewed wood materials and often are found in areas of human activity.

Hornet Nests
Hornet nests are shaped like inverted tear drop which can be found attached to trees and buildings.

They contain hundreds of wasps which are extremely aggressive when nest is disturbed.

Yellow Jacket Nests
Yellow Jacket nests are located underground in old rodent burrows, underneath wood piles or in walls and attics of buildings.

They forage around garbage cans, outdoor activities and anywhere sugar or protein food is available.
