The Magic’s in the Mulch!
Magic Start® mulch forms a protective blanket over the grass seed. This protective layer helps retain warmth and moisture creating the right conditions for quick germination. As the seeds begin to sprout the mulch dissipates completely leaving behind only vigorous new grass.

Excessive nitrogen from pet urine can make it difficult for seeds to grow. Magic Start® mulch creates a better growing environment. From thin spots to pet damaged patches Magic Start® Grass Patch® will thicken and restore the look of your lawn.

Magic Start® Mulch is a special proprietary blend of ingredients. It works by securing the seeds to the soil and aids germination by helping retain moisture and warmth around the seeds. That’s why Magic Start® works so well. Also, while products using ordinary paper as mulch can take over a year to fully dissipate, Magic Start® mulch disappears within 2 weeks.

Premium Grass Seed
Magic Start® Grass Patch® contains the optimal mixture of seeds for your climate. We select only premium grass seed from improved varieties to ensure fast, even germination and strong root establishment. Depending on conditions, expect germination in 6 to 8 days and complete establishment within a few weeks.

Starter Fertilizer
To aid seed establishment, Magic Start® Grass Patch® contains the Nitrogen, Phosphorus, and Potassium necessary to encourage germination and vigorous growth. This unique combination of Magic Start® Mulch starter fertilizer and premium grass seed has been specifically formulated to provide the quickest and easiest lawn patch product available.

DIRECTIONS
1. For best results remove any dead material and loosen soil of area to be treated.
2. Shake the box in case settling occurred in shipment.
3. Using free plastic applicator, apply Magic Start® Grass Patch® over the area to be treated
4. Water lightly to activate the mulch. The mulch will turn green to let you know when you’ve watered enough.
5. Keep the treated area moist by watering one or more times daily for the next 7-10 days or until the new grass is established.
6. Depending on conditions, you should see germination within 6-8 days. Avoid traffic on the newly planted area until it is well established.
Important: Re-treatment may be necessary on slopes if heavy rains occur within 24 hours of initial application.
