The Pit® - Slug and Snail Trap Instructions

Your Kit Includes:  3 trap tops, 3 trap bodies

How To Assemble:
* Choose three areas throughout your garden and flower beds and dig holes about the size of the trap body.
* Place the trap into the ground so that the trap body is flush with the ground.
* Place bait in trap.  (See Suggested Baits below.)
* Gently snap the top onto the trap body.


To Remove and Reuse: Gently remove trap top, lift trap out of ground and dispose of contents in trash.  Rinse out trap and it is ready to reuse.

Suggested Baits

BEER: Studies show that fermented yeast in beer is a great attractant.  Tests have shown that non-alcoholic beer works best.  Fill the trap to about 1&Mac218;2 inch from the top with fresh beer.  Clean and refill every other day.

SLUG DOUGH: According to our friends at Organic Gardening, a great bait is a home brew that can be kept in your refrigerator:  1 Tbs. Molasses, 3 Tbs. Cornmeal, 1&Mac218;2 c. flour, 1&Mac218;2 c. water, and 1&Mac218;2 Tbs. Yeast

OTHER BAITS: Place into trap fermenting bread dough, lettuce, cabbage, sliced potatoes or turnips placed in salty or soapy water.
