Penetrates deep into the soil bringing vital nutrition to the important root area of grass and dichondra lawns and other ground cover, trees, roses, flowers, shrubs, flowering plants, vegetables, indoor plants, and tropicals.  SAFER® PENTREX® 16-4-2 furnishes essential minerals, chelated iron, zinc, and manganese, to all plant life.  It corrects and prevents yellowing foliage (chlorosis) and stunted growth caused by mineral deficiency.  The added soil penetrant improves penetration of SAFER® PENTREX® 16-4-2 through caliche and other compacted soils straight to the plant’s root-zone for fast effective action, while providing proper nutrition to sustain vigorous growth.

CAUTION:  Harmful is swallowed.  Avoid contact with eyes, open cuts or sores.  Keep out of reach of children and pets.

HOW TO USE:

Apply PENTREX® 16-4-2 through a hose-end applicator or sprinkler can.  IMPORTANT:  Always water heavily after each application.  Established grass and dichondra lawns:  1 gal. To 4000 sq. ft. ( 1 qt. In hose-end sprayer jar and apply to 1000 sq. ft.)  Apply at 8-12 week intervals.

Matted lawns on compacted soil:  1 gal. to 2000 sq. ft. (1 qt. In hose-end sprayer jar and apply to 500 sq. ft. )  Apply at 3 week intervals twice, then every 8-12 weeks during growing season.

Newly planted grass and dichondra lawns:  1 gal. to 6000 sq. ft. (1 qt. In hose-end sprayer jar and apply to 1500 sq. ft.)  Apply at 4-6 week intervals during growing season.

Use as penetrant on hard pan, caliche, and compacted soil before planting:  1 gal. 1000sq. ft.  (1 qt. in hose-end sprayer jar and apply to 250 sq. ft.)

Roses, Camelias, Gardenias, Azaleas, Fuchsias, other similar plants:  3 teapsoonsful in qt. water to each plant at 6-8 week intervals during growing season. 

Flower beds and row vegetables:  4 teaspoonsful in gal. water to 20 sq. ft. or 20 ft. of row at 4 week intervals during growing season.

Citrus, fruit, shade trees:  Established trees:  8-10 ft. Apply ½ pt. In 15 gals. water and week intervals beginning at bud break and continuing through growing season 3-4 times yearly on fruit trees.  Newly planted trees, 3 tablespoonsful in gal. water each month.

Indoor plants:  1 teaspoonful in 1 qt. water each month.  It is important to follow each application with deep watering on all of above.
