Directions for Use:
- Bend the flaps of the pointed end of the strips as shown. This will make it easier to insert the stake into the soil. Alternatively, you can hang the strips from the plant itself.
- Peel off the clear plastic sheets on either side of the plastic strip, exposing the adhesive.
- Place the strip into the soil at the base of the plant.
- To dispose of used strips, wrap in newspaper and dispose in the trash.
Safer® Brand leads the alternative lawn and garden products industry, offering many solutions that are compliant with organic gardening standards. Review Rate Sell Replacement Sticky Paper PleaseProduct works well. PLEASE consider selling replacement sticky paper that we could buy separately. The plastic stakes can be used again and again, we only need the yellow sticky paper. Seems wasteful to throw out the stakes each time.

Review Rate great product, with one simple hackI love the sticky stakes! They are the only thing that controlled an outbreak of gnats in my indoor garden this year. Here's a no-mess, simple way to assemble: peel back a little from the edges, according to the directions. Then take one of those tiny binder clips from Office Max, clip the edges together, and hang the binder clip on the green stick. No muss, no fuss. And if you get any on your hand, rub with cooking oil to dissolve the sticky stuff.

Review Rate 4.5The item works very well, however it would be wonderful if you could buy the sticky strips as a separate item.

Review Rate Great productI bought these traps for fungus gnats in the soil of houseplants, and am very pleased with the results. I never knew I had that many gnats! The traps just get coated with them. Even caught a couple big house flies as a bonus. I've bought these twice now, and will buy again when needed. Great product.

Review Rate Gnat magnetThese work great! I put them in several of my house plants I had seen gnats flying near by, and they started catching them right away. I love that they are pesticide free and have no odor whatsoever. -
Review Rate Works Great! This product works great! However, as the company does not provide refill tape, I would suggest not wasting your money. It's too bad they don't, I'd buy many, many more.

Houseplant Pest Control - FAQs
Q: My plant leaves look chewed! Do you know what type of insect might do that?
A: Insects that have the ability to chew plants must have special cutters in their mouths for this purpose. Such insects may include caterpillars, beetles, and grasshoppers, for example.
Q: Can aphids or other insect pests spread viruses from one plant to another?
A: Yes, many insect pests can transmit a virus from one plant to another. Pumpkins, potatoes, lettuce, melons, cucumbers, beans and beets are just some of the vegetable plants that can be affected.
Q: How do I know if my plant is being attacked by an insect or a disease?
A: If it’s an insect, the plant may have holes in its leaves. Turn the leaves over and you may see the insects themselves clustered on the underside of the leaves. You may also see and feel a sticky substance if it’s an insect because the insect will leave a secretion on the plant.
Q: Is a spider mite an insect or is it actually a spider?
A: Spider mites belong to a class called arachnids, to which spiders also belong. They are not actually insects. To find out more about these tiny pests, see our information in All About Spider Mites.
