Description

Safer® Brand Grub Killer, Ready-to-Spray Concentrate

Safer® Brand Grub Killer effectively kills larval stages of insects including - Leafminers, Gypsy Moths, Webworms, Hornworms, Grasshoppers, Chinch bugs, Billbugs and White Grubs. White Grubs are the larval stage of beetles including Japanese Beetles and Northern Masked Chafer grubs.

Utilizing a derivative of the seed of Neem trees, this Grub Killer controls by 3 modes of action resulting in broad spectrum control. It disrupts insects’ delicate hormonal balance so they die before molting to the next life stage. Grub Killer also suppresses some insects’ desire to feed and repels many insects in areas that have been sprayed.

OMRI Listed® and compliant for use in organic gardening, Grub Killer kills or repels a broad assortment of insect pests but spares many beneficial insects such as honey bees and lady bugs. Without beneficial insects to control pest populations, plants are even more vulnerable to new infestations.

FAQs

Garden Pest Control - FAQs

Q: Can insect pests survive the winter and affect my garden next year?

A: Yes, many insect pests can survive cold winters by "overwintering" under plant debris and leaves on the ground. This is why it is very important to remove plant debris after harvesting this year's crop and then till the soil.

Q: Help! I have bagworms on my small evergreens. How do I get rid of them?

A: Fall, winter or early in the spring is the best time to do this, before the eggs inside of the "bags" have hatched. If you have a larger infestation, a product containing B.t. or Bacillus thringiensis can be used to help control the bagworms.

Q: How do I know if my plant is being attacked by an insect or a disease?

A: An insect will leave holes in the plant leaves that you can see when turning the leaves over. You may also see the insects themselves on the underside of leaves. You can also see and feel a sticky substance from insect secretion on the plants.
