Stops Insect Damage Right Away Keep your roses and other flowers beautiful and vibrant with Safer® Brand Rose & Flower Insect Killer. The combination of insecticidal soap (potassium salts of fatty acids) and aromatics eliminates insect pests to stop damage to your garden flowers and plants.
Potassium salts of fatty acids are derived from the natural acids found in animal fats and plant oils. When potassium salts of fatty acids come in contact with insects, it begins to weaken their protective outer shell. This weakening causes the insect to die of dehydration.Target Insects That Love Flowers Use Safer® Brand Rose & Flower Insect Killer to control these pests:
- Lace Bugs
- Plant Bugs
- Scale Crawlers
Control Insect Pests on Flowers Safer® Brand Rose & Flower Insect Killer can be used on flowers, including rose varieties, shade trees and ornamental plants. The formulation of insecticidal soap and aromatics targets and kills destructive insects, while gentle on blossoms. The fragrance compliments the aromas of the garden instead of overpowering it with a chemical smell.
32 fl oz bottle treats approximately 20 plants, 2 ft high with a 2 ft diameter. Rose & Flower Insect Killer works as a contact killer and will not persist in the environment after application.
How To Use Rose & Flower Insect Killer Shake the bottle before using to ensure proper mixture and distribution while spraying. It’s important to thoroughly cover all plant surfaces where insects are seen (including the bottom of the leaves) and to continue to spray the solution to the point that it begins to drip off the plant. Apply product every 5 to 7 days when insects are present.
As a general rule, much like watering, do not use in the peak of the day or when temperatures exceed 90 degrees F, to avoid wilting or browning of the leaves. Do not apply to newly planted cuttings and certain sensitive varieties of plants. Since Safer® Brand Rose & Flower Insect Killer is a contact killer, multiple applications may be needed for full control.A Convenient Ready-to-Use Solution The handy, ready-to-use solution of insecticidal soap gives you the perfect concentration of active ingredients to target damaging insects while allowing your garden to thrive. Simply spray at the first sign of insects or their damage, and continue to apply every 5-7 days when insects are present to keep your garden free of pests. Plus, we’ve added a newly designed sprayer head to our bottles for a more consistent spray pattern, so you can target and eliminate the damaging insects that are attacking your flowers.

FAQs About Insects in Your Rose Garden

Q: My plant leaves look chewed! Do you know what type of insect might do that?
A: Insects that have the ability to chew plants must have special cutters in their mouths for this purpose. Such insects may include caterpillars, beetles, and grasshoppers, for example.
Q: How do I know if my plant is being attacked by an insect or a disease?
A: If it’s an insect, the plant may have holes in its leaves. Turn the leaves over and you may see the insects themselves clustered on the underside of the leaves. You may also see and feel a sticky substance if it’s an insect because the insect will leave a secretion on the plant.
Q: My neighbor told me that I have scales on my ornamental plants. What is scale and how do I get rid of them?
A: Scale is tiny insects that attack plants, sucking the sap or juices from the plant and it's leaves. Insecticidal sprays and Neem Oil products are effective in controlling these pests.
