I can't remember wasting money as much as I did when buying these USELESS items. I followed the instructions and placed them accordingly. This morning, I woke to find that plants had been FEASTED on that were less than 5 inches from the plants. 100% ineffective. I feel totally ripped off!!
First night I put DeerOff in freshly planted landscape area, deer ate 3 of my shrubs including a rose bush. These plants were outside several nights before I planted them without the deer bothering them. Wish I'd read reviews before buying; however, and elderly sales person was convincing "this was the product thst would keep the deer away".
This product is counterproductive. It seemed to attract some critter - the size of a big raccoon. It literally attacked 4 of the 6 of them and chewed on them, ripping one apart. flower beds are now torn up.
Zero review for me! Actually put the stake inside a planter and the deer ate the flowers. So, I thought I'd give some new plants a try and the deer ate it again!!! I have a photo of the planter with the stake in it, but the site won't allow me to upload-go figure!
I would give ZERO stars if I could. I bought this today at our local nursery. The kit comes with 6 discs and 6 U-shaped pieces of wire. The instructions show straight spikes being placed into the discs. In NO place does it show or say how to use these U-shaped pieces of wire. I would think that maybe someone shoved the wrong pieces in this package, but the package literally has a U shaped cut out in it to fit these U-shaped wires. So I decided to come here to hopefully get more information, and the same BS from the instructions I have is posted. There is no directions how to use what they gave you. But what I did find is many attrocious reviews. Thankfully we did not unwrap any of the discs or not. Really sad the kinds of shenanigans the garden industry does to make a sale. I have found over 30+ years of gardening that 90%+ of them do not work. So between the reviews and horrible instructions I am taking it back. I will share my thoughts with our nursery on this product and suggest they respect their customers more and not sell stuff like this.
Absolutely a total waste. Completely ignored by the deer, they ate everything around them. These should be banned from the market for false advertising.
How come your packaging shows the deer repellent with a sturdy metal stake going to the bottom, while the actual product has a flimsy metal hoop that you must thread through a tiny opening at the top of the device? I just had to throw several away due to the plastic tab at top breaking off from the strain on it from the hoop. I was going to buy some more yesterday, but again say the product pictured on the packaging differs from the actual items. I won't buy anymore of these with the flimsy mounts.

Hi, thank you for reaching us. Stations are wrapped when they are packaged. When wrapped, they will last several years. Once unwrapped, they will last one growing season (spring, summer, & fall).

A few years ago I bought Safer deer stations that had a snap-off base that I could refill with mothballs: I had bought a pack of 6 at Menards. They are great and I’d like to get several more packs. I tried the dried blood stations but they don’t work and they are not refillable, so I have to throw them away making more plastic waste. Where can I get more of the mothball refillables.
